Validation
Review AREI/RGIE-oriented issues and cross-canvas consistency problems before sharing or exporting.
Validation helps you catch project issues before they become export or inspection problems. Open it from the header, left dock, or floating panel depending on your layout.
What Validation Can Surface
| Issue area | Examples |
|---|---|
| Electrical metadata | Cable/protection matching, missing ratings, incompatible circuit data |
| Endpoint expectations | Circuit endpoint counts, missing labels, missing plan placements |
| Protection and isolation | RCD or isolation-related checks where the active ruleset supports them |
| Cross-canvas references | Orphaned placements, missing schematic objects, drift between plan and one-wire |
| Project structure | Missing panels, unclear supply relationships, incomplete required fields |
How To Work Through Issues
- Open validation.
- Re-run validation if the panel is stale.
- Filter errors and warnings.
- Expand an issue to read the affected object.
- Use focus actions to jump to the related object.
- Fix the data in the canvas or properties panel.
- Re-run validation before export.
Validation does not replace review
Validation is product guidance. It does not guarantee AREI/RGIE compliance, inspection acceptance, or legal completeness.
Repair orphaned references first
If validation shows orphaned or drifted cross-canvas references, repair those before interpreting more detailed electrical issues. Broken references can make later issues misleading.
