Using comments

Location-based comments and replies.

Comments help collect questions and corrections for a project without drawing them as technical notes in the diagram. Availability depends on local or cloud storage, account access, and, for team projects, the configured comments policy.

Open and add a comment

1. Click :ui-icon[comments] Comments at the top or open the comments panel with the available dock action.
2. Choose the canvas and location to which the comment applies.
3. Add a comment and describe one specific question or action.
4. Check that the marker is in the intended position.

Finish comments

1. Open a comment in the panel or through its marker on the canvas.
2. Check the object involved and the corresponding replies.
3. Make the correction, for example through Properties or on the relevant canvas.
4. Briefly reply with what changed when others are following the project.
5. Resolve the comment when no further action is needed.
