Rewire a cabinet

Use the panel canvas rewire workflow to correct or refine relationships between board modules.

Use rewire mode after the board layout exists but the visual or logical relationships between modules need adjustment.

Before You Start

Check that the one-wire structure is already in reasonable shape. The panel canvas organizes existing project entities, so unclear panels, protections, or supply relationships in the one-wire diagram will usually make rewire work harder.

Rewire Workflow

1. Switch to the panel canvas.
2. Use the panel selector to show all panels or focus one panel.
3. Place missing modules from the library when needed.
4. Use auto-arrange for a clean baseline if the grid is messy.
5. Enter rewire mode.
6. Adjust module relationships.
7. Select the affected panel or module and review properties.
8. Run validation again.

The panel grid is not a separate drawing. It reflects project entities and relationships that also matter for validation, tally, and export.
