Domotics addresses

View and edit channels and groups by module, check free outputs and export your address overview.

Domotics addresses brings the data from your home automation modules into one overview. You can see which channel operates each load, its circuit, and which outputs are still free. The table follows your project automatically, so there is no separate document to maintain.

To first understand how one module controls several circuits, read Draw home automation and link addresses.

Open the overview

  1. Open :ui-icon[canvas-documents] Documents.
  2. Under Schematics, click Domotics addresses.

The card appears as soon as the project contains a home automation module. Relays that operate contacts can also appear in the overview.

Read and edit the table

Each module shows its system and device address, followed by its connections:

DetailMeaning
Channel and GroupsThe channel and group addresses for this connection. You can edit these fields directly in the table.
DirectionInput for a signal to the module, Output for a controlled load.
Connected to and CircuitThe load or contact, and its circuit.
ConnectionWired for a direct connection; Linked for a contact referring to the module through Operated by.

Click a row to select the corresponding symbol. Changes to channels and groups also update that symbol's properties.

Free shows unused output channels. Set the correct number of Output channels on the module for this.

View and filters

In :ui-icon[properties] Properties, choose Modules or Groups under View. The group view brings together connections with the same group address.

Filter by system and, if there are several boards, by board. Only modules to check shows modules with warnings, such as a duplicate channel or an incorrect address format. Use Hide relays to show only home automation modules.

Is the overview unexpectedly empty? Clear the filters. The group view stays empty until groups have been assigned.

Export

  • Export CSV downloads the modules and connections matching the current filters for use in a spreadsheet.
  • Enable :ui-icon[export-pdf] Include in export and turn on Documents in the PDF export to include the address overview.
