Draw home automation and link addresses
One home automation module, several symbols in the one-wire diagram: link contacts, channels and addresses in Condui.
One module, several symbols
A home automation module is one physical device, but it can control several circuits. In the one-wire diagram, you can therefore distribute its functions across several symbols. In the panel view, it remains one module in the cabinet.
Draw contacts where they belong electrically and link them to the module that operates them. Below each linked contact, Condui shows the module and output channel. This makes both the electrical connection and its control clear, even when they are on different circuits.
A simple example
Module M1 controls two lighting circuits:
| One-wire diagram | Panel view |
|---|---|
| Contact on circuit A → M1 · channel 1 | One physical module M1 |
| Contact on circuit B → M1 · channel 2 | The same module M1 |
You do not need to add a second module to draw the second circuit. Link the second contact to the existing module.
A load can also connect directly to a wired output of the module. In both cases, the channel and any groups belong to that individual connection.
Create a link
Start with a project that already contains the module and the contacts it will operate. You can find them in the :ui-icon[library] Symbol library as Domotica / Smart home device and Contact.
- Select the module. In :ui-icon[properties] Properties, set Location to Board if the device is in the cabinet.
- Select the contact and open Control → Operated by. Choose the existing module from the list, or use Pick on canvas.
- Check Channel and enter the correct output. The diagram now shows the reference to the module and channel.
For a wired output, enter the channel under Domotics in that output's properties.
Record addresses
The Device address belongs to the module. Channel and Groups belong to the connection. For KNX, for example, these could be device address 1.1.12, channel C and group address 1/1/3.
On the module, choose System under Domotics and enter the Device address. Use Output channels to specify the available capacity. Condui then also shows which outputs are still free.
See everything together
In :ui-icon[canvas-documents] Documents, Domotics addresses brings together modules, inputs, outputs and linked loads. Check that the channels and addresses are correct. Use :ui-icon[export-pdf] Include in export to add the overview to your PDF.
