Draw a floor plan
Use draw mode to create or refine walls, openings, stairs, grid aids, and plan geometry.
Use draw mode when the imported reference is missing detail, when you need a cleaner plan for documentation, or when you are drawing the building from scratch.
Draw Mode Tools
| Tool | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Wall draw | Draw wall segments over the reference plan. Drag from the first point to place the control point of a separate curved wall, then click its end point. |
| Rectangle draw | Create rectangular room or building outlines quickly. |
| Insert point | Add a point to an existing wall so it can be shaped more precisely. |
| Clip wall | Trim intersections and clean up wall overlaps. |
| Door | Add and adjust door openings. |
| Window | Add and adjust window openings. |
| Stairs | Add stair objects and refine width, step depth, corner behavior, and direction in properties. |

Recommended Sequence
- Import or create the floor first.
- Enable grid, snap, or projected snap when precise alignment matters.
- Enter draw mode.
- Draw the main outside walls.
- Add interior walls.
- Insert doors, windows, and stairs.
- Select each object and refine dimensions in the properties panel.
- Exit draw mode before placing electrical endpoints.
Drawing aids are not schematic data
Walls, floors, grid, and visibility settings help document the situation plan. The electrical hierarchy still comes from the one-wire diagram and placed endpoints.
